West Coast IPAs are the hop-driven beers that powered the launch of the American craft beer industry, often brewed with the classic “3C” hops: Cascade, Columbus and Centennial. Beer styles are always evolving and this New School West Coast IPA is both flirting with the classic and the present contemporary hops. Displaying a bright and balanced bitterness with classic mid-palate grapefruit-pine character from the 3C, and with tropical yet crisp fruity flavours from Mosaic hops.

(Can, Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival, 8 Sep 2023) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of lemon peel, grapefruit and biscuits. Fruity, hoppy taste with grapefruit, lemon, pineapple, biscuits, pine needles, grass and a balanced citric/piney bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and refreshing. Nice one.

Ljust gyllengul grumlig vätska med hög skumkrona. Aromer av grape och lite blommig. Stram maltighet med balanserad fruktig, citrusig beska.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is floral, some herbal, mild earthy and some mild toffee. Flavour is fruity, floral, herbal, earthy and some mild bready tones.

ABV: 5.9%. Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, fruity malt, pale malt, moderate hoppy, grass, pine, citrus, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, fruity malt, pale malt, fruity hops, pine, citrus, light papaya - passion fruit - grapefruit, earthy touch. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20230326]
