MBCC. Black with a small brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and bourbon. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet finish with warming alcohol. 060523

During MBCC 2023 Saturday morning session with Matt, Brian, Ryan, Phill, Erik, and superhelpful and funny Rachel, hehe. Appearance: ok Aroma: dark fruits, bourbon, sweet. Taste: same, quite sweet and thick. Overall: good one.

375 ml bottle, as Salikatt Phoenix 2021, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 13.3%. Black colour, no head and no visible carbonation. Moderate aroma of malts, molasses, oak, fusel and bourbon. Some slight carbonation in the mouth. Sweet flavour of medium roast malts, molasses, caramel, treacle, oak, a hint of bourbon. Nice enough for sharing, but I doubt if I would buy it again.

Fra fat på På Kornet, oppvarming til SSO-konsert: nesten helt svart med kort skum. Mørke lakrissjokolader, bourbon, muscovadosukker og et hint av tobakk/cigarboks. Akkurat passe karbonert. Lang, superfed og velgjørende. Tenker ettersmaken varer helt bort til konserthuset.

8-4-9-5-18 On tap @ What's Brewing 22, Stavanger. Pours black, with a small creamy mocha head. Aroma is dark roasted malts with liquorice, muscovado, cocoa and tobacco, as well as vanilla and wooden barrels. Creamy, velvety body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is dark roasted malts with liquorice, muscovado, tobacco, as well as vanilla and wooden barrels. Lingering wooden finish. Very solid!
