A salute to the Egremont Russet apple - one of our favourites, this single-varietal fine-cider has been made using hand-picked apples from the Blackmoor Estate in Hampshire in 2018. It has been wild fermented in tanks and matured in Sauterne oak barrels. It is bottled conditioned to produce a natural sparkle.

Sample courtesy of minutemat, cheers Mat! Clear pale gold colour, short-lived thin white foam head and aroma of apple, fruity, wood barrel, oaky, vanilla. Taste is sweet, apple, fleshy, with woody barrel notes, vanilla, oak, some acidity and tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, drying spicy wood barrel oaky finish. Nicely drinkable.

75cl bottle. Clear gold appearance. Aroma bears a natural wine-like apple fruitiness. Nice natural cider to taste, moderate apple fruitiness with a wonderfully subtle Sauterne influence which really complements this variety well. Very nice.
