Bottle. Brown color. Licorice, malt and cardemom in the aroma. Malty sweet, spicy flavor with laurel and cardemom. Sticky mouthfeel, some pear drups. Decent but faintly alcoholic.

Dubbel launched in 2009 by a sympathetic beer company that unfortunately ceased to exist meanwhile. Off-white head, cloudy bronze colour. Aroma of nutmeg, caramel, bitter chocolate, walnuts, cinnamon, coriander. Sweetish onset, dried fruits, quickly moving away for a coriander-like spiciness on top of a rounded, caramelly and nutty malt base, in the end even slightly roasted, some grassy hops; in all, quite dry for a dubbel, a bit too dry to my taste.

33 cl bottle @ hotel room, Brussels. Rated on 19.07.2010
Aroma has earthy notes, some wood and souris cherries. Flavour is somewhat tart and sour with oak, some earthy notes, berries, some cherries, hints of caramel and toffee. These oud bruin ‐style beers are just not my thing.

Bottle thanks to Joes. Very nice dark brown color with a dark red glow coming through. Smell a little musty. Taste not bad not good. Little bit sticky texture. Good carbo and body.

@dmacs-33cl bottle-thanks to jtclockwork for sharing–pours a tan head with trailing lace and copper/brown color. Aroma is roasty/earthy, chocolate. Taste is roasty/earthy, chocolate-medium malt. Easy.
