Biddenden Special Mead is produced using modern methods from fermented fruit and honey which is then sweetened with fine honeys to give a deep amber colour and deliciously rich, full flavoured, aromatic, sweet Pyment style wine. Best served at room temperature as an accompaniment to strong cheese or sweet fruit cake.

Panda at home, thanks to Danlo - Cheers Ed, 02/01/23. Clear golden amber with some white spotting that veers edgewards. Nose is herbal, honey, sugars, floral, perfume, alcohol, fruit esters. Taste comprises sweet fruit syrup, caramel, honey, sugars, light red berry notes, herb. Full bodied, light oily feel, semi drying close with a balanced kiss of alcohol. Solid flavoursome mead.

Bottle at Hovelling Boat Ramsgate, Clear rich orange gold colour no head. Some honey on aroma. The flavour is terrific. Floral aroma. Sweetness in mouth yes. But the honey floral bitter bite is rather lovely. Properly honeyed sweetness but with a heat and bite on the finish. Flavour is lovely. Just the right chill on the bottle. Lovely.
