From bag-in-a-box at the Sausage & Cider Festival at The Dog & Bell, Deptford, London 02.06.22. Clear golden. No head or lacing. Aroma and taste of sweet red apples, cider apples, apple juice, apple peel, Yuletide spices and moderate apple bitterness. Well-balanced and quaffable. Appropriately uncarbonated.

Litre bottle from Middle Farm. Firstly tried cold... It pours clear rich gold with no head. The aroma is soft, sweet, very, cinnamon, nutmeg, chai latte, honeycake and apple pie. The taste is pretty sweet, tangy apple, sweet apple pie, sugary, festive, spice, spicy, honey and tannins with a sweet, yet dry finish. Medium body, flat and oily, slightly cloying mouth - feel. Next up - served hot as intended. It improves substantially. It opens up and becomes less sweet and cloying. Aroma takes on some stewed fruits and apple skin. The taste is full of tangy apple, baked apple, tart apple skin, honey and a touch of acidity, as well as the festive spice. Overall it’s pretty tasty. I suggest you heat this up before you review.
