A mixed orchard of perry pears – evocatively named varieties like Green Horse and Hendre Huffcap – were brought together with whole cone Simcoe hops from Brook House Hops, before the blend was bottle conditioned.

Super aromatic, a combo of white peach, passion fruit and pine, this one is zippy and sour, like a farmhouse gose beer infused with stone fruit and lemon zest and an invigoratingly bright sparkle.

Clear 750ml from Press online. Rare Vos glass @home. Hazy, spritzy, pale gray pour. Hyper floral, lemon, damp leaf nose. Sour-floral fruit, sweet cider vinegar, mild astringency, really catty Simcoe taste, long acidy finish. Not really loving this. Strong, irritating carbonation, lightly yeasty. Too expensive for second runnings.

750ml bottle from Little Pomona. Hazy yellow colour, some short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of fruity citrus hop, pear. Taste is tart, tangy, zesty citrusy hop, with fleshy peach, passionfruit notes, some pine along with pear notes. Light bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry soured citric finish. Nicely drinkable.
