Bottle from Dickinsonbeer, thanks! 9.8% says the label. Amber color. Cloudy. Pear drups and alcohol in the aroma. Soft citric raspberry flavor. Alcoholic and slightly tart. Has matured well.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass brownish, small head. Dry-malty aroma. Starts washy-malty, gets stronger and stronger, a bit alcoholic-soapy, more and more burning. Warming finish, less malty, burning alcoholic. Not my favourite Founders beer!

Bottle: Poured a cloudy amber color ale with a small foamy head with minimal retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet Belgian style malt with some nice notes of toffee. Taste is a nice enough mix between some sweet malt with some toffee and dry fruits characteristics. Body is quite full with some medium carbonation and no alcohol was discernable. Well done overall but lacking some complexities to be on par with the best of the style and maybe a tad too sweet.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Sammy. 9.8% ABV in my version. Pours a hazy, amber golden with an off-white head. Distinct - but fresh - aroma of banana and yeast. Full-bodied, sweetish, very fruity - some overripe fruit - diacetyl, banana and a very warming alcohol in the finish. No real bitterness. Severely underrated - this really was a delicious brew. 310507

A hazy dark amber beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is overwhelmingly sweet, spicy, fruity, and perfumated - especially the peach note is extremely strong. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of fruit - in the over ripe end of the spectrum, combined with notes of yeast and light notes of spices.

Aged 1 year. Pours ruby orange into a trappist glass. Head does not exist, but white micro skims the rim. Extreme bubblegum and alcohol aromas. Syrupy sweet tart caramel and a chalky lasting sour finish.

Bottle at Sunset Grill - pours a nearly still, cloudy caramel color - aromas of yeast, cloves, lots of over ripe, nearly rotten fruit - a little hot - flavors of rum, banana, and spices, making the beer, strangely, taste a little bit like bananas foster - finishes with quite a bit of apparent alcohol - not one of their better beers.

Bottle. Sugar and alcohol. Those two qualities seem to dominate both the nose and flavor. Light, clear copper body with short off-white head that doesn’t stick around long. The aroma is filled with sweet, overripe banana and plum with a strong note of band-aid and lacquer. The flavor is overly sweet — caramel, plums with just a hint of clove and plastic. Peppery alcohol jumps in fairly early. Thick body with chewy texture and sticky feel. Overall, something is amiss here.

Red amber ale with a thin off white head. Light coriander aroma. In mouth, rather sweet malt, cloying, with coriander notes, unidimensional and boring quad! At EBF 2006,
