Samen met onze Berlijnse vrienden van BRLO Brewery brouwde wij een duister en gevaarlijk lekkere IPA. Door het combineren van onze passies voor gastronomie en het creëren van unieke en spannende craft bieren maakte we deze donkere Black Rye IPA. Het bier is gehuld in duisternis en heeft een pittig karakter. Body Wrap (6,4%) is gemaakt met twee soorten rogge die het bier een licht kruidig en scherpe smaak geven wat de hopbitterheid in balans brengt. Behalve geroosterde rogge is deze IPA ook met tarwe en gerst gebrouwen, die bijdragen aan de volle smaak en donkere kleur van het bier. Dit is een beest van een IPA, op de loer in de schaduw totdat het tijd is om toe te slaan.

Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Strong coffe and roast notes. Long heavy bitter fnish. Creamy palate.

33cl can. A almost black beer with a big beige head. Aroma of roasted dark malt, coffee, bitter hops. Taste of resinous bitter hops, roasted dark malt, coffee, pine.

Can, almost black. Rye, quite malty, ashy roasted notes, earthy, mineral, bit of grassy hops. Apple, stale coffee. Medium sweet and lighter bitter. A bit all over the place but this lacks sweet chocolate and hops which can make a black IPA great.

A deep dark black ipa with a thin lacing dark brown head. In aroma, nice chocolate malt with dark coffee, resinous hops, grapefruit pulp, pleasant and smooth. In mouth, a nice chocolate malt with dark fruits, licorice, resinous hops, very nice and rich. On tap at Craft & Draft.

330ml can. Cloudy, darkest brown colour with average to huge, frothy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Roasty, minimally chocolately, dark malty and resinous, piney, slightly citrusy, hoppy aroma, hints of coffee, a touch of pine needles. Taste is bitter, resinous, piney and slighty citrusy as well as bitter, roasty, dark malty, notes of pine, a touch of pine needles, some coffee, lemon, subtle residual sweetness. Minimally oily, watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Well balanced, fairly bitter - nice.

Can at home from Sterk, Amsterdam, watching Holland and Argentina, 9th December 22. Pours dark and black, frothy head. Aroma is cocoa, light liquorice, pine. Taste is pine and cocoa, aromatic, bitter and well balanced, quite roasted malts.
