Cane and Ebel is one of a series of special limited-run beers in styles that are more extreme or unusual. This unique red rye beer is full of hop flavor and aroma. We add 35 pounds of Thai palm sugar to each batch. The sugar does not add much sweetness to the beer, but rather a fruity and vanilla-like flavor. A new hop variety called Summit is really showcased here. This 18% AA hop is also very aromatic which gives a pungent citrus aroma. Then we heavily dry hopped the beer with Simcoe.

Definitely had this before but spotted it in the cooler at City Hops with no corkage fee.
Random Teku glass I haven't seen all afternoon. Russet brown, some clarity, sticky but thin head.
Sharp pine nose, tight caramel, veg.
Taste is middling sharp acid, coarse malt, some stickiness, white pith, lingering aspirin bitterness.
Heavy body but a filtered feel, bitey hops sort or 1-2 with the rye texture. This feels like a middling Hot Rod Clone.
Co2 fades too fast; boozy.
It gets tiring but it's good enough.

Bottle from Jrallen. Brown color. Cane sugar, pumpkin and pineapple in the aroma. Full bodied. Well hopped with oily citric piney hops. Sweet, almost sugary, with pumpkin and tropical fruit. Oily hopbitter aftertaste. Good!

I got this in a trade with Joe1510. Thanks Joe!
It pours from 12oz bottle a clear copper with about a 2 finger head of foam and good lacing and boy, the head retention is very nice indeed.
The smell is a strong grapefruit but there's also some sweet malt sneaking through the cracks.
The taste has good notes of grapefruit which, btw, aren't as strong as I would have expected from the nose(not a bad thing!), roasted malt, some bread, some earthy tones, and caramel malt in the background. Nice medium mouthfeel here and it finishes slightly tart, slightly sweet. Good tasting brew!
I've only had a few beers that have Rye listed in the name but the one's I've tried have all turned out to be quite tasty and satisfying.

On tap at Two Brothers, pours a clear dark amber with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out earthy hops, light toffee and sweat socks. Flavour is similar, with sweaty herbal hops, earthiness and a light toasted caramel. The hops are really sweaty, as with their other hoppy beers I've had. Not a fan.
