Final beer in a mini-tasting with myself on Friday 11th August 2023. 330ml can: BB 9th November 2023, poured into my Gordons thistle shaped glass. Very dark brown, fast fading tanned top. Bloody hell this is sweet, even for me and my sweet tooth. Hazelnut Stout with plenty of sugar, it's like Nutella, where's me toast to spread it on?

On tap at Brewdog - Brussels, pours black with a tiny head. Nose is pungent on the hazelnut extract, somewhat artificial, quite sweet. Flavour is much the same, with a rather artificial, hazelnut praline character upfront and dominating. Fairly sweet with a very light body. Pleasant, I guess, but not a thing of beauty.

Brewdog wie es leibt und lebt und man es kennt. Voller Geschmack und ein Aromenreigen, der einfach passt. Hier kommt Karamel, Schokolade und Kakao rein und Haselnüsse und Vanille runden es ab. Inzwischen kein Craftbrauer mehr, aber das Bier ist einfach gut.

Can from B&M Bargains, Halifax. Extremely dark with an extremely thin head. Strong and dense tasting, accounting for much of its cake styling with its nut providing a decent flavour alongside slightly sweet roasted malts.

Half-pint, draught at BrewDog Birmingham, shared with Finn. Fawn-coloured head over a black body, dotted spots on the glass. Promising smell of vanilla chocolate. Coconut and creamy chocolate to the taste buds, lactose backbone. Sweet, mid-dry chocolate malts to the ending. Quite alright, a bit unvaried. (Birmingham 13.02.2023).

33cl can, BB 17/03/2023, merci Willy, part de son xmas box dont il n’aime pas les stouts.
Ambre/acajou, col épais crémeux café au lait.
Arôme donne de suite cette sensation de lactose/crème qui se retrouve dans un gâteau, crème glacée ; parfum fraise et galette. Qcq notes de chocolat, cacao, grillé sur le café.
Palais est sur un côté cake lactose, cela me rappelle de suite une glace industrielle gaufrette avec un côté arôme de fraise et de galette. L’apport de noisette est plutôt discret par rapport au lactose et fruité ais perce en fin de bouche. Pas mauvaise, mais sensation d ‘avoir une glace plongée dans ma bière. Ca reste de l’ordre du ‘gimmicky’ et j’ai du mal à boire même le tiers de la cannette.

Tap at brewdog Waterloo. A thick dark black brown coloured pour with a fading mid tan head. Aroma is medium sweet, mud pie, toffee pud, praline, some chocolate. Brownie, alcohol. Flavour is composed of cakey malts, brown chocolate, nutty, brownie, oily, very adjunct forward. . Palate is semi sweet, oily, moderate carbonation, ok. Lingering cake batter.
