Inspired by the classic dessert, Affogato's golden base is fermented to leave a touch of residual sugar, then loaded up with lactose to offer ice-cream-like body and perceived sweetness. Our coffee, recommended and roasted by The Tate Roastery, drives impactful chocolate and rich espresso notes, while cypress wood lends a nice undertone of vanilla wafer that both complements and balances the beer.

Interesting. Sweet and creamy, milk, light coffee, malty sugar syrup, some vanilla in the aftertaste. Decent effort, but too sweet for the profile, could use a bit dryness/roast. Ok.

Can at home from Siren online. A mostly clear golden yellow coloured pour with a lasting frothy white head. Aroma is decnt kamp coffee, tangy green beans, vanilla, white chocolate, tangy citrus notes. Flavour is composed of rounded, creamy vanilla, victoria sponge cake, mellow woody coffee, kamp coffee, coffee cake. Palate is smooth and creamy, moderate carbonation . Maybe a bit sweet, but good fun.

Can at home, from Siren online, 12/08/20. Almost clear golden orange with a decent light cream cap. Nose is sweet malts, cold press coffee, light vanilla, toasted grains, light citric tinged straw. Taste comprises sweet malts, coffee grinds, vanilla essence, light white peppery spice, hint of milk chocolate. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with modest hop bitterness. Ok novelty pale .... refreshing on a hot day ... treat it like an iced coffee ... wouldn’t be so much fun in the winter months !

Can from Etre Gourmet, Grez Dolceau, Belgium, Saturday 1st August 2020. Pours gold/light amber with a white head. Coffee and ice cream combination as described, vanilla, creamy, smooth. I hadn't really read the description or took a great deal of notice of this beer and assumed that it was going to be a dark stout. It's quite good, though not entirely my thing. We've had a good cycle ride today 47km
