We used our receipe of "Em Dackelsche" (Wiess – traditional unfiltered Kölsch) and fermented it this time with Kveik Voss and dry hopped a small dose of Hallertauer Perle.

Can 44cl. from Alehub @home pored into a Kölsch glass. Slightly hazy pale golden colour, good moussy white head, good retention and lacing. Aroma sweet malt, grain, grassy and floral hops, yeast. Taste light to medium sweet and bitter, light fruitiness of lemon and pineapple. Light to medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, long semi-dry sweetbitter aftertaste, refreshing, lean and crisp, quite nice.

440ml can. Hazy, yellow-ish, bright golden colour with average, fluffy, moderately lasting and lacing, snow white head. Minimally biscuity and minimally grainy, pale malty, as well as minimally yeasty fruity aroma, a touch of apricot, hints of protein, very weak, funky yeasty overtones. Taste is slightly dry, minimally grassy hoppy, slightly yeasty fruity, minimally biscuity, pale malty with subtle residual sweetness, hints of apricot, mirabelle, protein, a touch of kefir, whey, some plain, old school hop bitterness as well. Watery texture, slightly dry palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. If not some day a DDH BA Flönz-flavoured Imperial Kölsch will propel this style into unknown empyreal domains, Kölsch will remain one of the most boring categories per se, no matter how well crafted and composed; as measured by this fact - good.

0.44 l can from 'Craftbeershop.com', best before January 2024. Hazy, orangeish golden with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, gently fruity-floral, minimally grassy aroma of lemon peel, some fresh grass and a touch of pineapple. Hardly sweet, moderately bitter, gently fruity-floral and slightly grassy taste of grains, straw, lemon peel and some pineapple, followed by a short, gently bitter, fairly dry, minimally tartish finish. Thin to medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Fairly tasty and complex for the style, still within its boundaries and rather quaffable.
