Bottle from Stacks. Hazy black, small, foamy, beige head. Aroma of coffee bean, espresso, fondant, toast, chestnut, vanilla bean, wood, tobacco. Taste has sweetish prune and blackberry going over a bitter middle of toast, coffee & earthy, bit nutty-umami and supported by dark-chocolatey maltiness. Bitter earthy hops in the finish, lots of dry coffee bean & fondant lingering as well as warming whisky-like alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Firm bitterness and the whisky is not too obtrusive. Quite my poison.
