On tap at Arendsnest, pours a clear dark amber with a tiny beige head. Aroma is somewhat boozy and lightly perfumey, with smoked malt, toasted caramel, bready malt and a touch of toasted nuts. Flavour is quite smoky upfront, with boozy hotness, moderate smoke, sweet caramel and bready malt. Hot, smoky, sweet and boozy. Rather messy but it somehow is cohesive. Good but lacking elegance and integration.

Sample from bottle at 5th Logitech bierproeverij. Color: Clear orangish brown, very thin off-white head. Aroma: Toffee fudge, smoke notes, vanilla, Whiskey. Taste: Malty, sweetish, boozy. Caramel and chocolate fudge, vanilla, Whisky, light hints of almond. Medium sweet, light bitterness. Full body, low carbonation. Very nice.

Nog te scherp. Maar craft brown ale altijd ftw.
