Bottle, 330 ml shared with kajser27, Max and MiroB. Dark gold, small white head. Caramel, malty, lots of alcohol in taste and aroma, toffee, bourbon. Medium bodied. Way too much alcohol.

I obtained a 33 cl bottle, my first Bronckhorster, from a Dutch retailer a couple of months ago, ready to give it a try. My New Belgium globe glass takes the pour, amber-gold in color with a persistent cover of totally white foam. The nose gives me grain, ripe yellow fruit and an indication of the barrel. And now the taste, definitely an step up from the scent. Sweet apricots, toasted bread, yeast, lots of bourbon, a bit of toffee and nectarines. The sensation is heavy, maybe contributed by the booze. I get a touch of heat on the drink working its way down. Seems much like a cocktail, a tasty one. An unusual and enjoyable tripel.

330 ml bottle. Pours a mahogany color with light head. Aromas of caramel, soft sweet bourbon, baked fruit, and warm toasted malts. Flavors follow same; deep fruit and bourbon with a hint of Belgian. Full warm finish. Wow. Beautiful.

Tap at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 18th May 2022. Pours clear and golden. Aroma is Sherry, booze, barrel. Taste is Barrel, Sherry, booze, caramel, very pleasant and great fun, now a pizza to continue the normal bar crawl
#tripel barrel + tripel = succes is niet iedereen gegeven.
