Can at home, from HOTM online, 21/05/22. Moderately hazed amber with a light beige cap that thins to a swirl in time but stays for the show. Nose is ripe dried fruits, bourbon, spice, toffee, alcohol, dates, prunes, marzipan. Taste comprises fruit cake mix, spice, prunes, caramel, bourbon rip, figs, brown sugars, bitter sweet edge. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid BA BW ... carries a nice light bitter edge to it which keeps the drinkability up there.

0.33 l can from 'Ace Drinks', best before December 2026. Hazy, dark ruby with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity, quite boozy aroma of molasses, raisins, caramel, bourbon and quite some vanilla. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity taste of molasses, caramel, raisins, vanilla and lots of bourbon, followed by a long, moderately bitter, quite boozy, slightly woody finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tasty base beer but way too boozy.
