Almost pitch black, but a few reddish hints show up through light. Gets a medium sized light brownish, quite creamy head that shows good enough persistence and lacing. Average intensity in a simple but pleasantly clean aroma: dark bread, hints of ashes, a pretty big per style caramel malts contribution, perhaps a vague hint of red fruits/fruit cake. Taste notes as per aroma: good taste intensity, nicely clean. Definitely on the sweet end for the style: roasted notes are mellowed by both softness and sweetness and there's a sirupy feel in finish/aftertaste; perhaps a bit too sweet for the style in the overall balance, but still enjoyable. Medium body, average, soft bubbled carbonation; goes down quite quickly for the abv with a just a hint of softness/creaminess. Overall: an interpretation of the style that stands somewhere between craft and commercial. Not too interesting and a bit too sweetish, but still clean, well made and enjoyable.

From Amstein, best before in 03/24. Drinking it yesterday, relax, at home. A classical baltic porter, a reference. Really smooth, a bit light, roasty, a bit smocked, roasty, fair touch of sweetness, bitter, nice stuff during the rain, 26.11.24

lattina 568 ml, schiuma cappuccino fine media persistenza, colore marrone intenso/nero, al naso frutta matura caramello leggero caffè cioccolato fondente, in bocca caramello leggero caffè frutta secca toffe, corpo medio, carbonazione moderata, molto dolce con amaro moderato. Mi sa un po’ di industrialona. Mah.... c. Alìper Taglio di Po 09.01.26

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Dark brown, small head. Aroma of dates and vegemite. Sweet with medium to full body and rounded mouthfeel
. Vegemite, caramel and licorice, some dates and tree bark. Mid bitter finish. Faux micro rendition of a style that industrial brewers often do reasonably well. This falls short.

0,568l can from FRESH Plus Spišská Nová Ves. Head is big, tan, good retention. Colour is dark, clear with coppery hue against the light. Aroma is moustly dark dried fruits and caramel. Taste is medium malty base, light roasted tones, dark fruits, plums, toast, caramel, decent bitterness, medium carbonation, not so rich for the style, drinkable.
