Bottle at Chris_o birthday bash 08. Yes I do mean to give this a 0.5/5 unfortunately. So much diacetyl I had to force myself even to take a sip. Too much diacetyl and for me completely undrinkable. No offence to the brewers or anyone else. If I see it again, I will re-rate.

Bottle at Ølfestival 2008, Århus
Dark amber color. Strong caramel and cookie aroma. Good body strength, strong caramel flavor, also strong alcohol perception; some bitterness comes from the caramel, but it’s not too strong. It would be the strangest Quadruppel, without the Belgian fruitness, much more of a Doppelbock, but quite good.

Århus2008. From bottle. Pours clear and golden red. Light malty towards breadish aroma. Flavour is dry breadish malt with a mild spice note. In addition the flavour is light metallic and malty with a mild fruity note. Ends with light buttery finish. Classic Aarhus...

A dark amber going towards nut-brown beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel combined with a strong spicy note - of an odd combination of spices. The flavor is very sweet and very spicy, leading to a dry spicy finish. A thick bodied caramel wine.
