Bottle: Amber coloured, quickly collapsing off-white loose head, sweet burnt-malt and molasses in the nose; sweet-bitter flavour, relatively light bodied; a kind of chocolate in the bitter-molassey finish. O.K., drinkable…

500ml bottle picked up at Galeria Kaufhof am Alexanderplatz, Berlin. Deep, nutbrown body. Quickly diminishing, off-white head. Modest aroma of toasted malts with notes of heat from the alcohol. Jam-like taste with plenty of dried fruits supported sweet malts. Integrated alcohol. Soft carbonated. Quite easy to drink (hotel room, Berlin 21.11.2009).

Clear deep amber with a medium beige head. Sweet malty aroma with caramel notes. Flavour was very sweet with roasted malt and caramel notes. Quite full and it finished sweet with warming alcohol.

50cl bottle. Pours amber/brown with a lovely red hew & a small creamy white head. Lots os sweet malts, caramel , bread and a bit of sugar. Full bodied. Nicely balanced - not too sweet. Light warmth but alcohol is well hidden! Very nice!

The bottle looks really good. The beer smells and tastes too much alcoholic, really penetrating. It’s hard to empty this glass. Not a good beer.
