Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, peppery, floral, light citrus, and a bit of candied sugar. Medium bodied with nice carbonation. Flavor is sweet sugars, some floral notes, peppery, a bit fruity. Really enjoyable beer. The pepper really accentuates the tripel bite.

Tasting at Papsø’s, corked bottle
Cloudy bond color, with generous, eggwhite-like head. Nice aroma of pepper and nettles. Sweetish malt flavor, elegant, fresh, with light Belgian yeast character, and very pleasant peppery touch; correct bitterness. The combination of pepper and sweetness is superior to other drier beers. Very good.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of nimbleprop. Pours a hazy golden with a huge, frothy and lacing white head. Very fresh pepper aroma atop a sweet fruitiness. Solid body, sweet fruit and yeast with the pepper notes reappearing late. Some subtle hops and a little alcohol heat. Very interesting and innovative. 180911

C&C 750 mL bottle from State Line Liquors, opened 3/15/11. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with lots of visible carbonation and tiny white floating particles. Large rocky white head. Good head retention and lacing. Nice looking beer. Aroma of spicy pepper notes, earthy notes, light candi sugar, faint stone fruits. The taste is bread, peaches, cotton candy, candi sugar, peppery notes. Medium bodied. Well balanced and tasty. Nice beer.

Bottle from the brewpub shared at One Funky Afternoon at Jackie O’s on 04/02/2011: The beer is a clear yellow-orange color with a medium fizzy white head that evaporates steadily. Clingy patches of lacing on the glass. Sweetly spiced aroma with some yeast notes. Medium body with a sweet spiced character that I would not necessarily call "peppery". Some yeast and malt flavors too. The finish is sweet spices and candied fruit. Decent overall.
