Cerbero purple label is an old ale aged for one year in ex-wine barrels with the addition of a small percentage of Emilian Saba.

The malty tones - biscuit and toffee - alternate with vinous scents from Saba: passito wine, balsamic liquor. The aromatic bouquet is embellished with wild notes of brettanomyces (leather, spicy pungency) and oxidative depth, as per the historical interpretation of the style.

Cerberus is a meditation drink, with a silky smoothness and pleasant sensations of warmth in the throat, softened on the palate by a slight Sherry acidity. Evolving product suitable for aging.

Bottle. Amber, misty, yellowish foam. Aroma: sweet, red wine, slight sourness, quite a bit of wildness, caramel, grapes, plum, a little oak. Sweet taste with sourness, caramel, dried fruits, wine, oak, good.

Bottle to celebrate the New Year 2022! Pours a murky deep brown with a tiny white head. Aroma is complex, very vinous, woody, light acidity, lots of dark fruits and berries. The Saba comes through in a lovely way, with sweet and sour grape notes being very dominant. Medium to big body. Flavour is sweet and smooth, light acidity is definitely there but balanced nicely by the sweetness. Lovely complex vinous flavours, wood notes from the barrel, light caramel, dark berries. Again, Saba is dominant but blends so nicely into the overall character of the beer. Somewhere in-between an old ale, a sour and an Italian grape ale, this is an exceptional beer that is unlike any of those styles. Delicious, special and complex. Wonderful.

Bottle. Old Ale aged for one year in ex-wine casks with the addition of a small percentage of Emilian Saba. Aroma: Fruity grapes, sweetish and sourish at the same time. Taste: Like in the aroma sweetish and tart at the same time, alternating, red grapes, notes of red fruit and red wine and wood. Light hints of caramel. Light hints of Brett wild yeast funk. Moderate sweet and tart. Dry-ish, wood and quite some tannins. Medium body, below average carbonation. Unlike any other Old Ale I've had before, except for the Cerbero Copper Label. Very fruity and grape-like, more like a wild ale. Less complex than the Copper Label. Missing the Old Ale flavours completely in this one, minus 1 point for that. Nevertheless another pretty nice beer from this great brewery.
