Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 02/09/24. Black with a light tan head that escapes edgewards. Nose is almond, brown sugar melt, easter egg, honey, dark malts. Taste comprises chocolate icing, sugar dusting, honey, vanilla, herbal notes, dark malts. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced kiss of alcohol. Interesting one ... not unpleasant but a little too savoury for my liking ... I wouldn't revisit.

Can. Near opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Smooth and viscous palate, decent fine carbonation all things considered. Smooth rich dark malts, quite rich but soft dark chocolate. The two herbs provide complex floral, sweet and we'll of course, herby notes. Quite simple overall but also different and drinkable.

Draft. A black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, prunes, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, alcohol, and prunes, leading to a dry finish.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 5 Oct 2023) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with dark chocolate, black coffee, herbs, vanilla and a touch of tonka beans. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, black coffee, vanilla, herbs and a mild roasty bitterness in a warming finish. Full body, thick and oily mouthfeel. Quite sweet. Powerful and warming, but well rounded and harmonious. Very nice.

Donkerbruin tot zwart bier met schuim. Smaak is bitter, krachtig en vrij zoet met iets van chocolade, wat koffie, vanille en wat amandel. Heel erg goed bier met een lang aanhoudende afdronk.

Vanilla, alcohol and something herby in the nose. Fabulous mouthful of adventure with rich chocolate and spice but I really can't get the honey. Always the strongest beers are the most interesting.....!

Can from The Kentish Belle, Bexleyheath. Aromas of Crunchie bar, toffee, sweet tobacco, caramel. Taste is sweet tobacco, caramel, cappuccino, quite herby. Robustly sweet herbaceous finish.
