500ml bottle. Dark reddish brown body with a creamy beige head. Lots of sweet malt in aroma, also fruity and some banana. Flavor is slightly roasted malt, caramel and spices. Refreshing and very flavorful, totally balanced. This is just great stuff.

(Draught at Lord Nelson, Copenhagen, 26 March 2008) Dark, almost black colour with frothy, beige head. Roasted, citric nose with coffee and liquorice. Roasted, malty, slightly citric taste with notes of chocolate, coffee and liquorice. Firm body with smooth mouthfeel, not as aggressive as the abv would indicate. Slightly cloying sweetness after a while. But still a nice beer, and a rather different shot at the style.

Big beige lasting head. Deep dark red barely translucent head. Caramelly, fruity, watery aroma with roasty licorice and paper notes. Kind of unbalanced. Sweet roasty licorice taste, kind of watery, with wheaty notes. Slick mouthfeel. Clean and smooth, if kind of unbalanced. Papery notes. Decent, but not special. (0.5l bottle.)

Dark brown with a big off-white head. Aroma has some bread and some dark malt, with plenty german wheat character of clove and banana. Very sweet and fruity flavour. Big and soft mouthfeel, but too sweet for me.

The color is almost black, with a thin creamy layer. The aroma is quite light. Somehow it’s too sweet, even if the body is strong but not too thick. Basically there are missing flavors, but what is worst is that it has a sharp off flavor: a chemical component (disinfectant), later showing also in the aroma. It has to improve.

Reddish deep brown with small off white head. Sweet, wheat and yeasty aroma with notes of roasted malt. Caramelly hefeweizen taste. Alcohol and metallic notes are present as the beer gets warmer. Carbonation at the standard level for a hefeweizen. Oily alcohol bock feel. Sweet bitter finish, a bit short.
