Black with a small foamy brown head that faded quickly. Strong chocolate brownie aroma. Flavor was toasty with strong chocolate brownie followed by bourbon and nut. Long finish. Full bodied.

16oz @ Ryan's. Appearance: brown with almost no head. From the color I wouldn't even say it is a stout from US, from Europe - sure, but not from North America. More look like a dark barleywine from US. Aroma: loads of fudge and chocolate accompanied with bourbon notes. Not a hint of booze despite 14.2% ABV. Taste: on the fudge side, quite sweet, the artificial is noticeable, not very thick for 14.2, probably they've just dumped something to increase sweetness. Overall: not bad, but definitely requires more complexity in taste and less artificial flavour.

Poured from 473mL can (thanks Chris McD). Dark brown with very quickly dissipating beige head. Super fudgey, chocolate, mild barrel character, booze is quite hidden, very enjoyable.

The aromas and flavors are lots of dark chocolate malt with some vanilla. Just enough carbonation and bitter to balance. Decent beer. Very little sign of alcohol.

Can. Black beer with a low brown head. Fudgy chocolate aroma with bourbon. Chocolate and fudge flavor with rich malt and bourbon. Fuller bodied. Chocolate and fudge linger with bourbon and rich malt.
