On tap at the brewery. Pours black with a light grayish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has dry dark grains with slightly earthy roast and a hint of bread underlying. Flavor has strong roast and slightly bitter dry dark grains with some bread in the finish.

Draft at Paragon, 6/26/24. Brown color, thin head. Chocolate, roast. Clean and fairly dry. Pretty good.

int can from Niemuth's, 1/30/23. Near black, large brown head, average retention. Aroma of caramel, plum, oak, vanilla, chocolate. Taste is caramel, smoke,, cherry, toast, oak. Tad bit thin. Well balanced. Solid.

Can from Tavour. Pours a dark brown with a decent creamy tan head that laced a bit. Aroma of somewhat roasty malt, a little spice, some citrus. Med body or so. Flavor is dark, roasty, somewhat Tmavy like, malt with tangerine, spice, and non-musty wood notes. Quite nice.

The label says oak aged. So I don't know if it's a different version or an incomplete description. From the looks and taste of it I would say AKA Schwartz beer or Black Lager. Smooth, roasty with dark malt and bittersweet. Good stuff.
