(Bottle 50 cl) Hazy golden with a creamy, off-white head. Spicy and a little tart aroma - is there a hint of Brett? Full-bodied, intensely sweet and herbal with a distinct yeastiness. Almost a little syrupy. Very fruity all the way through with a subdued bitterness. Quite interesting this "Imperial Saison". 120708

RBESG08 grand tasting 2008. Hazy gold, thin white head. Odd nettley beer, stinging, but also, some custard? Bit of puke on it. Not that good. 2.2/5.0 Re-rate On tap at EBF 08. Hazy gold, thick lasting head. Slightly sour lmeon aroma. Yes it has saison characteristics, some heatfrom alcohol, some Tripel character with the tangerine fruits. Saison and tripel. Well made. A saison? No, as a hoppy tripel? Superb.

Bottled. Slightly hazy golden colour, small white head. Aroma is alcohol, some fruits as well as glueish alcohol. Flavour is the same along with some mild juniper notes. Interesting brew, though feels a bit thin.

Bottled at RBESG. Hazy golden, airy head. Fruity phenolic nose. Near full bodied with juicy peach flavour. Evidently minerally. It feels concentrated, dense and syrupy, would’ve liked to have it more fresh and lively so make the very interesting flavours come out more. Good beer with even more potential.

Draft. A hazy golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet with strong citrusy notes as well as medium notes of spices, and light notes of malty and yeast. The falvor is sweet with strong notes of lemon, leinding it a slightly tart finish, but also with notes of spices as lighter notes of celery and alcohol.

Bottle. Thank you Christian. Pours hazy orange with a creamy white head. Wheat, yeast, spices (pepper) & hops in the nose. Peppery spicy taste - perhaps from yeast. Warmth & fruity orange. Quite good & very heavy/powerfull saison.

Muddy orange, with a lasting white head. Rich spicy aroma with pepper, cardemum and paprika notes. Very dry and spicy with a fruity sweetness and pineapple flavour, even with a little fruit juice tartness. Only a touch of alcohol is holding it back from a 10 in flavour. Thanks Thomas for giving us the chance to taste it on the premiere day in Odense. I need more!
