Backlog November 2009. Goden body with a few floaters under a disappearing white head. Aroma of sweet malt, esters and spicy yeast. Taste is sweet malt, fruity, spicy and bitter with warming alcohol. A bit unusually as a Saison but there is something here making it interesting.

Tap @ EBF 2008. Orange blonde, hazy. Grapefruit and flowery hops in the aroma. Grapefruity bitter, peppery flavor, just a bit tart. Well balanced brew.

Hazy amber - orange beer. Frothy white head, short lived. Light nose of orange and malt. Dry palate. Typical Saison malt - sweet ish, quite pronounced here. Nice touch of zesty fresh orange. Dry finish with a pinch of spice. Pretty decent strong saison but just a tad over dry.

Hefiger, sehr markanter Antrunk mit süßlicher Note. Stark hefig-hopfig, ausbalanciert. Recht fruchtig, was sich gut in das starke Hefearoma einfügt. Dazu alkoholisch, was sich aber aromatisch und nicht störend auswirkt. Vollmundig, etwas holzig. Gelungen!

Bottle. It’s a hazy, golden beer, a dense white head sits on top. The aroma has alcohol, both of the normal and higher kind. The higher alcohols fortunately being subdued. It’s also fruity with a sweetish touch. The flavor is pretty much the same, with alcohol warmth being far more evident than I could wish for. Still, it’s not bad. Full-bodied and warming, and a bitter finish with white sugar sweetness. I don’t know why, but I expected more from this. It’s slightly unclean, like it’s been fermented way too warm. I know it’s normal for a saison to ferment warm, but this was too much, even though it’s a strong one. But, I wouldn’t shy away from another bottle or four. 091127

Hazy blonde. Some light funk on the nose with herbal notes and black pepper. Herbal & dry with some malt character. Quite fizzy. Light pedio in the finish.

The bottle looks very simple, the beer in the glass is okay, turbid, very zippy. Starts almost "creamy", then yeasty-fruity, finish sourish with notes of wood. Warming-dry finish. Very intersting. Thanks to HenrikSoegaard for the bottle!
