Bottled, at Copenhagen Beerfestival. (as "?"). It’s a black beer with a small, tan to beige head. Sweetish nose with choholate, coffee and roasted malts. Some alcohol, sweetness, chocolate, vanilla notes and roasted malts in the mouth. Booze-like warmth in the mouth, and full-bodied. Sure a beer I would like to have once more, but that seems to be a long shot. (090515)

50ml, sampled at CBF 09. Dark-brown body with a tiny, tan head. Smell of roasted malts. Coffee to the forefront of the flavour gradually joined by cocoa and rather high impact of alcohol. A bit out of tune, but still a fine, strong imperial stout (16.05.2009).

(On tap) Pours a dark brown with a tint of red and a creamy, beige head. Hard roasted malts and overripe fruit. Quite full-bodied with sweetish roasted malts and dried fruit. Subdued bitterness. Strangely this appears more like a Belgian strong than an Imperial Stout - maybe it’s all the added sugars and syrups. 120908

Draft. An unclear dark red-brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of berries, herbs, licorice, and spices - especially muscat. The flavor is sweet matly with notes of spices, herbs, berries, and alcohol that burn the tongue lightly and warms the body, leding to a dry spicy and alcoholic finish.

Special draft version of this at Lord Nelson. The difference should be that it was kegged right after Brygmesterens Bryg nr. 13 - a Super Saison, though my guess is that some of the Super Saison due to this order of kegging has come in to this keg. A pitch black beer with a brown shine under a lazing light tan head. The aroma is sweet with acidic notes of brettanomyces as well as light notes of roasted malt, and so is the flavor, leading to a both tart and roasted finish. The body is nice - what else to expect from a mixture of a 13.5% ABV and a 10% ABV beer. A very special and very well working blend, for me better than both the base beers. [8/4/8/4/16=4.0]

Draught@EBF2008. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel, alcohol and some mild dark berries. Flavour is very much the same in a nice balance. Some slight notes of chocolate and coffee too as it gets to warm up a bit.

Draught at EBF08. Good fruity aroma. Mild and round, pleasant. Black colour, slightly muddy. Very nice flavour, milder than ABV lets on. Too dry finish.
