Small white head, fine bubbled over pale golden beer with an orange shine and well-carbonated. White candi sugar, malts, garden herbs, faint spicey (nutmeg, mustard powder, Szechuan pepper). Smoked taste, smoked beechwood (no ham, as in Rauchbier!), sweetish and quite alcoholic (especially alcohol retronasal), some phenols and higher alcohols but held well in check. Rather subtle, actually. A bit thick, nearly viscous, and the complexity is NOT in its palate. Quite sweet, but very interesting Tripel. I feel rather sorry never having tasted the "usual" triple. Whence the smoked flavour, I wonder?

Bottle. Light brown colour with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, banana, hop, citrus. Flavour is sweet, hop, fruit, banana, citrus. Good beer.

500 ml bottle. Clear, golden body with a thin head. Aroma is sweet malty and a little spicy. Flavor is rather sweet and bitter. More bitter than expected for a triple, but still harmonic.

This version of the beer uses Westvleteren yeast. The beer is hazy orange - with a very thin head. The aroma is sweet hoppy and yeasty. The flavor is very sweet - too sweet for me - and almost cloying, with notes of malt and the Westy yeast being most dominant. I find, that it lacks complexity, both to make the alcohol less evident, but also just to make it more interesting.

Bottle @ Københavns Ølfestival 2006. Cloudy golden colour with a small white head. Malty aroma with some spicy and fruity hints. Sweet malty flavor with hints of fruits and yeasts. Sweet spicy finish.

Bottle. Slightly better than normal version because of much less particles. Nice powerfull aroma and flavor. Oily palate.Truly a good tripel.

Bottled at Cph Beerfestival and at home. Clear, light carbonating, golden beer. Small, white head. Sweet, light yeasty and citrus aroma. The flavor is sweet, malty and lemony, with a nice hop-level. Somewhat sticky mouthfeel, and a sweet and lightly bitter finish. A bit much on the sweet side all the way, but with a nice hoplevel. Original rating 060519: 6-3-6-3-12-3. (070119)

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, amber golden with basically no head. Sweetish nose with distinct yeast. Full-bodied, sweet with some fruit. Quite lovely and more drinkable than the standard Tripel from Raasted. 190506
