Bottle. It pours a unclear, almost copper color, with a nice but diminishing beige head. Beautiful lacings though. Hops dominates the aroma, with pine and citrus, and there’s malt and sugary notes as well. It has a quite sweet flavor with a good dash of hops to accomplish the malt. Medium body with a little stickyness, and a long hoppy finish. I even think there’s a little warming sesation. Yet another Easter beer from Nøgne Ø that leads my thoughs to a traditional Norwegian Easter trip to the snowy mountains. (070326)

500ml Bottle. Hazy dark orange body with a small beige head. Hoppy citrus aroma. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, citrus, yeast and fruit. A fresh and relatively light beer from NØ. Well balanced with a medium finish.

500 ml bottle, bottle conditioned. Orangey brown colour, moderate head. The first time I had it I found the aroma fairly moderate and slightly spicy with some fruit, the second time the lovely fruity hops came more in front. The pleasant flavour is nicely balanced: oak, fruit, spices, hoppy finish. Good beer!

Bottled (batch #275, brewed 260207)
Hazy amber color, small but steady off-white head. Nøgne Ø -yeast in the nose plus hoppy, garden-like aroma. Although being "et belgisk inspirert", aromatic English hops - Goldings and Brewers are evident here and dominating flavor. Besides hops, it is fruity with some toffee in it, leans towards mildly hoppy and yeasty finish. Crossover of English bitter and Belgian ale - although this is not brewery’s finest piece of work - an excellent beer with solid malt profile.
