It’s Alive! is Mikkellers answer and tribute to the trappist beer Orval. It’s Alive is an easy-to-drink beer, with a lot of hops. The color is amber, the foam is high, white and dense. The potent Brettanomyces culture makes It’s Alive continue to develop in the bottle.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a clear amber with a a nice soapy off-white head that leaves a film throughout. Nice biscuit, fruity yeast nose with some cherry, apricot and light booze. Taste is more of the same with the cherry really standing out as it warms up a bit. Has some nice spice and light bitterness as well. Quite complex. Fruit-forward and lightly boozy finish.

Mikkeller it’s alive 8% Bottle at Yamaoka. A rich bready marshmallow with some boozey heat & funk. A lovely Amber brown pour with a dense beige long-lasting head in my tulip glass. Nice flavor of chocolate buns, yeasty stone fruit & light spice. Very enjoyable.

BOTTLE 75 CL. Hazy amber, light tan head. Aroma is huge caramel sweetness with traces of citrus hops - smells like an old IPA really. tastes sweet, again traces of citrus hops, a moderate bitter finish with notes of plastic and mould. A tribute to Orval? You’re kidding...

Botella de 75 en el momento en belmonte el 24-05-2015. Con f de consumo pref para 31-07-2018. De cervezalandia. Color ambar claro algo anarnajado turbio con espuma blanca persistente. Aromas y sabores ligeros,maltosos toques algo afrutados ligeramente críticos y ácidos al final todo ello perfectamente combinado. Cuerpo medio con algo de gas que también le apor ta algo de sabor carbonico y burbuja. facil de beber en general. Bastante buena.

330ml bottle @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours hazy amber with large cream head. Fruitier than I expected with some hedgerow berries gatecrashing the party. Lovely complex brett with smooth floral yeast. Decided to age a bottle of this to see how it develops.

Tap at Pokhoj, Košice. Unclear golden color with huge off-white head. Strong citrus hoppy aroma with some sourness. Strong hoppy taste with Brett, sour fruit, yeast, yeast. Long hoppy, bitter finish with light sourness. Tasty.

Bottled 750ml. -from Svijet Piva Zagreb. Hazy golden/amber coloured, medium sized off-white head, tart yeasty fruity nose. Sweet fruity, yeasty and grapefruity hoppy with pleasant notes of brett and wood. Tart fruity and light bretty finish. Also timid alcohol notes in the finish. Well done.
