New England-Style Session IPA. Phosphorescent hop flavors abound in this juicy New England-style session IPA, a bantam-weight cousin to Neon Rainbows, our unfiltered IPA. Dry-hopped with Citra and Mosaic hops, then followed by a second round of dry-hopping with Topaz and Simcoe, Neon Lights is a rarified hop experience. A brilliant, juicy, and refreshing limited-release IPA.

2-row base malt, flaked oats; Mosaic, Simcoe, Citra, Topaz, Centennial hops; London ale yeast.

Can (best by 12/16/21--whoops!, just purchased and shame on me to be sure for not checking the date but fairly unconscionable to have this on the shelf if you're a serious beer store...) from Beer and Wine Nation. It's a deeply hazy yellow with nice sparkle and frothy off-white head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is moderately strong lemony citrus with some Kolsch-like notes. Taste is subtle lemon citrus. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with frothy texture, average-to-lively carbonation and finish as taste with lingering dry bitterness. Overall, not huge hops but this could be ABV though surprised any hops left given the age.

Session IPAs are a thing of the past, and if you're dropping off samples, please make sure they're fresh. This isn't. Maltiness takes away from other flavours. Got this sweet glass today.

The aromas are citrus grassy hops with some dry grain. Flavors are similar to nose lightly sweet up front with good body carbonation and low to medium bitter. A little chewiness in there and some citrus pith and rind as well. Decent beer.

6 week old pint can A: Poured thickly opaque milky yellow gold with 1 of loose froth. S: Lightly acrid tropical fruit. Some lemon but mainly peach or apricot. T: Lightly bitter hops are mostly lemony, featuring zest and some tart pulp. Seltzer and plain crackers combine for a dry finish. M: Feather light, smooth, quite thin and spritzy with no hop burn. O: OK but nothing there to really bowl me over.
