(bottle) Clear, mahogany colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Sweet roast-malty and nutty nose with caramel and wet leafs. Light-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, calm carbonation. Distinctively earthy and leafy roast-malty and nutty taste with lighter notes of caramel and a shy herbal touch; quite dry, still earthy and moderately roasty finish with a light herbal hops character. A bit uncommon, all in all not bad (14.X.08).

Bottled. A dunkel colored beer - red-brown with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of bread especially pumpernickle bread and caramel. The flavor is sweet amlty with notes of caramel and bread as well as light notes of metal, leading to a bitter and slightly metallic finish.

Bottle: Dark reddish-amber coloured, thin lacing off-white head; sweet dark malt and roasted malt in the nose; light sweetish-malty flavour, medium bodied; sweet-malty, a bit toasted finish with a tinge of coffeeish bitterness. A friendly Dunkel with the grumpy angel "Aloisius" (a cult-figure in Bavaria) on the label......
