Das Paderborner Alt ist unsere dunkle, obergärige Bierspezialität. Dank seiner dunklen, rötlich-braunen Bierfarbe und einer feinporigen cremefarbenen Schaumkrone kann es als klassisches Altbier überzeugen. Ein altbiertypisches feines Röstaroma im Geschmack zeichnet das Paderborner Alt aus.

Zur Herstellung wird besonders weiches Brauwasser, Qualitätsmalz aus ausgesuchten Braugerstensorten, sorgfältig verlesene Hopfensorten und obergärige Bierhefe verwendet. Das ist unser Rezept für ein westfälisches Altbier.

Bottle. It’s a clear, dark copper colored beer topped by a finger-thick beige head soon disappearing. Bready, nutty almost cola like nose with hints of dried figs and malztrunk. Smooth, a bit effervescent mouthfeel, semi-dry and medium-bodied. The flavor has caramel and hazelnuts with a bready touch and some faint notes of dried fruits. Slightly metallic finish with some bitterness and a balancing maltyness. A quite decent one, a bit on the sweet side, at least when it warms up. 091010

Bottle 50cl. @ [ Fastelavns Tasting Ulfborg ].Clear medium red brown color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, brown sugar, nutty notes, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20090221]

Amber with a lasting white head. Caramel and bready malt aroma. Dry malty flavour with bread and caramel notes.

Bottle, 4.8%. Weak roasted aroma, a little cream. Spicy hop aroma. Clear brown colour. The flavour starts off with a good spicy hoppiness. Good roasted flavour as well, some cream, mild but flavourful.
