Bottle @ DTS. Deep dark brown color. Milk chocolate and a touch of licorice and yeast in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor, on the thin side. Yeasty, milk chocolate, licorice, liquid sweets. Cola and raisinny notes. Nice, maybe a bit too sweet.

750 ml bottle sampled in 2008. Fine, dark brown body with a small beige head. Aroma has mocha, coffee and malt. Flavor is roasted malt, dry fruit, chocolate and balanced bitterness. Fine balanced body and decent aftertaste. Quite rustic in a way, but I like it a lot and it is one of the better beers from Bøgedal.

Bottled. An unclear brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with notes of candy sugar. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, dugar, and sirup, leading to a dry bitter, sugary, and sirupy finish. Thanks fonefan for sharing.

Bottle, 75 cl corked. A dark brown beer with a small, tan head. Cellar, roasted malts, some chocolate and some coffee in the aroma. The flavor has chocolate and roasted malts and is sure on the sweet side. Full body. I like it, still there’s something almost boring about it. Maybe it needs food. But it’s a pleasant and rustic beer I wouldn’t shy away from drinking again. (081128)

(Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a cloudy and opaque dark brown with a dense light brown head. Lightly burned malt and vanilla in the aroma. Medium body with lots of hard roasted malt, fruit and vanilla and vitamin-C. Rather bitter finish. 190608
