A full flavoured, moreish malty Amber Ale with a delicate caramel sweetness balanced by a smooth bitter finish. The aroma has a balanced blend of malt and spicy hops, with the roasted malt taking a lead. Best paired with battered seafood or a Sunday roast.

[50cl bottle from my local Lidl.] An amber pour with a loose white head; musty malt aroma; caramel malt body with a herbal bitterness; and an aftertaste of boiled sprouts. Bordering on unpleasant.

Bottle from Lidl Supermarket, Salford. Clear amber with a throthy head. Malty and bitter, but as with a lot of clear bottle bottled ale it has a very dirty taste about it too. Low grade stuff.

Bottle at home. Amber colour with a white head. Aroma and taste are malty and fruity. Light sweet. Light body.
