A full flavoured, moreish malty Amber Ale with a delicate caramel sweetness balanced by a smooth bitter finish. The aroma has a balanced blend of malt and spicy hops, with the roasted malt taking a lead. Best paired with battered seafood or a Sunday roast.

Foamy of white in a murky amber coloured body.
Caramel malt & bitter aroma.
Medium bodied, foamy with a dry back.
Malt, caramel, toffee & spiced tastes with with lightly hopped bitter finish.
Standard Bitter.

11/7/2026. Bottle at the ITFC England WCQF beer share. From Lidl, Ipswich. Pours fine. Sweet caramel, malt, touch veggie. Quite sweet, low bitterness. Not great but better than expected.

Drinkable but very basic. Sweet, some doughy malts, a little caramel, low bitterness, an accent of cabbage. OK.

Bottle. Clear amber-copper colour with moderate sized off white head. Aroma of sweet light toasted malts, tea, caramel. Taste has a drying roastiness to the malt, sweet tang with faint hint of fruit, leafy grassy bitterness - a bit plain tasting. Decent body. Its ok.

Bottle from Lidl. Pours clear amber with a thin white head. Aromas of toffee and light spice, dried mixed peel. Taste is butter toffee pennies, light spice. Sweet finish.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - amber and bright with a nicely proportioned white head. Nose - honeycomb, burnt toffee and spicy bread. Taste - toffee, brown bread, honey and honeycomb. Palate - medium bodied, creamy sweet middle, still fairly sweet on the finish. Overall - Doom Bar, but not as good.

Clear amber colour with soapy head. Aroma of slightly skunky hops. Tastes of caramel and candy. Basic ale.

Clear 500ml bottle: BB 29th February 2024. Poured into a vase shaped UK pint glass at home on 16th August 2023. Good amber colour, clean and clear, beige crown. Think Banks's Amber and you've cracked it. malty and semi-sweet caramel rule the aroma and taste. Dry finish, which took away a little of my sweet tooth's enjoyment.
