3rd LCRMB. Raisin, some port. Wood even in the aroma. Syrupy. Grapes in the flavor with raisin, porto and wood. Sweet, yet fairly complex. Tannines.

Bottle split at L6, thanks to Leighton, 17/01/19. Chestnut brown with a moderate beige covering. Nose is nutty, brown sugar, soy sauce, bittersweet, stewed fruits. Taste comprises fruit cake, more soy, oxidisation but not OTT, brown bread, dried fruits, residual sugars, toffee. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Not bad for the age ... he boost has certainly mellowed.

Bottle shared in London - picked up at GBBF. Pours clear chestnut with almost no head. Has aged pretty well, lots of well ripened berries, oily toffee, certainly notes of oxidation. Full bodied, oily, with soft carbonation. Lightly warming finish, some caramel, brown bread, cherry. Quite enjoyable. Has aged fairly well.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Dark brown beer. Fruity start that segues in to sourish malt. Long bitter finish. Undertone of Port. Nice.

Bottled. An unclear dark red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of berries as well as medium notes of malt and fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of oxidation, caramel, fruit, and malt. The body is thick, and the oxidation is a bit too much for my liking.

Cloudy amber color. Caramel, burnt raisins, brown sugar in the nose. Slightly sour cherries, milk chocolate and burnt raisins in mouth. Very malty. A bit too sour, but decent depth. Warming finish. Take away the sourness and this could be a great beer.
