Black Bird is Bird's Golden Classic. It smells fresh and slightly acidic with hops, and it is also the hops that give the beer the distinctive taste - dry with a discreet hint of fruit. Dark Münchner malt is the main ingredient in Black Bird, which instead of "classic" can also be termed an under-fermented lager beer.

Bottle. Golden, like most classic varieties in Denmark. Slightly herbal aroma, hippy taste with a slight touch of caramel. OK after a working day.

500ml can, kindly shared by Finn during a session at his place. Chalk-white head reduced to a tiny layer. Clear, golden-amber body. Modest aroma of caramel malts. Flavoured with sweet caramel malts nicely offset by dusty hops. Rounded malt-bitter finish. Smooth (Tromsø, 05.06.2012).

0,5 l. can, shared. Light amber/golden with a small, white head, that leaves some laceing. Aroma of sweet malts, grassy hops, and wet straw. Medium sweet taste. Thin to medium body, light carbonation. To sweet for my taste, but definitely worth the few kroners.

Re-rate from bottle. Lively dark golden, lowish lace. Fat malt aroma, still a bit more sweetness than I like. Sweet mal base, a hint sugary and honeyish, ok balance. Medium body, fat mouthfeel Sweet aftertaste, could be a bit more moreish. 6 2 5 2 8 Light grain, herbal hops. Shadowy golden, low head. Adjunct ladden, corn, dust, straw retronasal. Medium to light body, slightly sticky. Meh
