(330 ml bottle, bought in Denmark). I knew Carlsberg added pure refined sugar syrup to this beer (it’s on the label), and that made me sceptical and maybe a little prejudiced even before opening the bottle. Beautiful copper colour, moderate head. Aroma has a nice maltiness which unfortunately is overwhelmed by sugary and syrupy notes. Flavour is not quite as sweet as I feared, still something is wrong: the syrup, no doubt.
To think that Carlsberg actually retired Tuborg Rød and introduced THIS in stead ..... Idiots!

Honeyish malt aroma with a couple of metallic hops. Orange brown, low creamy head. Metallic soda flavor. Watery and boring.

Bottle. Nice dark brown colour, white head. Sweet, toasty smell. Roasted flavour.

Nice chestnut color, rich head. Malty, chocolaty aroma. Very malty flavour with notes of chocolate and toffee. Drinkable but not outstanding.

A great dark amber colour, with a medium size, long lasting head. Not much aroma, just a little malt. All in all a very inoffensive and ordinary beer. Too bad considering that it's made as a specialty.

Dark color. Simple aroma and flavor, a little sweet; drinkable, but not impressive.

Bottled. Nut brown. Neutral aroma. Overly sweet with mellow mouthfeel. Lightly nutty, no bitterness in a sticky, syrupy finish.

A dark red beer with a small head. The aroma is malty sweet with smoked notes. The flavor is slightly smoked with a lot of sweetness - but it turns a bit watery in the middle, to end on a nice bitterness.
