The first edition of our 2023 Farmhouse Series is a Dark Saison brewed with Beetroot from the garden behind our Brewery. First we chopped the beetroot and added it to the mash and second we made fresh juice from it and left it to ferment. A really good one for food-pairing, esp. cheese.

Opaque, dark color and a small white head. Restrained nose, malty, dark dried fruits. Malty fruity taste, a mixture of roasted malts and slightly beetroot, earthy. I am missing some typical saison flavors.s

0,33l bottle at home. BB 11.01.2024. dark brown color, small pink head. smells beetroot, earthy, toffee, bit peppery, light chocolate notes. ok smell. full body, soft carbonation. tastes beetroot, toffee, peppery, light bitter chocolate. finishes light to medium bitter with notes of beetroot, toffee and peppery notes. beetroot is there, but not over the top, which I like. There are some toffee notes, which for me do not totally work together with the beetroot. Overall Ok beer, not totally my thing.

bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma media grana color cappuccino media persistenza, colore marrone intenso/nero, al naso caffè cioccolato mirtilli, in bocca malto tostato caffè cioccolato al latte, corpo leggero, watery, carbonazione piatta, amaro moderato, leggero acidula. 33cl bottle. A very dark brown beer wiht a beige head. Aroma of dark malt, some coffee, chocolate, dark fruits, earthy malt. Taste of dark brown malt, toffee, chocolate, dark fruits, melasse, earthy malty finish.

Can picked up and consumed at Bierkiste, München Sunday 28th May 2023 in the company of Dad and Pauline. Pours black with a light off white rim of bubbles, not as earthy as expecting, super soft mouthfeel, a little choco caramel. Good.

Bottle. Dark purple brown, low head. Earthy beetroot and roast aroma on juicy malt. Medium full, creamy, minerally sparkly mouthfeel. Pleasant roast malt, bready, beetroot and light funk. Fits well with my Leberwurstbrot.

Klare bräunliche Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Fruchtiger, malziger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, fruchtig mit einem Mix aus roter Rübe und Schokolade. Mittlere Süße mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Bottle. Brown color with purple highlight. Aroma is chocolate, dash of beetroot, not very peppery. Taste is chocolate, some more beetroot, on the edge of being too much (but I generally don't like beetroot very much). Oily mouthfeel, sparkly carbonation. Fun.
