Brewed with an incredibly simple recipe of German heritage pilsner malt, Hallertauer Mittelfruh hops and Augustiner lager yeast, Das Bier ("The Beer") is our take on a classic German-style pilsner. Though not overly hoppy by modern standards, the hops are the star here - lending spicy, herbal, and slightly floral character over the clean, biscuits-and-honey malt. Medium bitterness lends to a crisp, clean finish with just a touch of lingering hoppy spice.

Aroma: hay, yeast and dough. Taste: fresh grassy hops, straw and spiced malts. Balanced grainy grassy mouthfeel. Crisp. Next one please!

On tap at Mikkeller & Friends, pours a clear pale blonde with a tiny white head. Aroma brings a\out gentle grass and subtle straw. Flavour is full of grass, straw and crisp biscuity malt. Grassy and crisp. Good stuff.

Tap. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is grassy hops, earthy, crackery malts. Taste is earthy, grassy, nice hopspice, light-bodied, mildly peppery. Oily mouthfeel, crispish carbonation. Nice one!
