This is a light, bright and very satisfying beer. Lightly golden with a bubbly, medium white head that steadily shrinks to a thin foamy lace, the aroma is soft and sweet with grain and very flowery hops. The taste is full bodied grain with lots of green apple and light but persistent hints of pine and herbs, with a light bitterness that persists through to the finish. Eminently satisfying.

previously tested on BTO 02/2007: Malzig-getreidiger Geschmack, ziemlich getreidig sogar. Leichte Hopfenzugabe im Abgang. Leckeres Helles, vielleicht etwas wenig Kohlensäure.

Bottle. Smells malty. Gold color with a white head. A bit thin bodied, but has creamy carbonation. Kind of biscuit with noble hop. Very smooth and clean. Finishes reasonably dry with a light grassy hop bitter. Good in a bland sort of way. Course it’s really really good compared to Bud.

First rating(Draught at restaurant "La Vita" in München) Clear straw yellow color, fluffy white head. Sweet malty and of sirup scent. Sweet malty taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium high bitterness. I found it rather boring compared to most other beers I drank in München during my trip.5/3/5/3/10=2.6Second rating(50 cl bottle purchased at Ambrosetti in Berlin)On June 14, 2008Clear golden color, white head. Bottle (now labelled as Aktien Hell). Sweet syrupy corn malt aroma. Light golden yellow with little head. Sweet sage flavor primarily - light malt with no hops flavor that I can detect. Medium body. One of the best Helles I have ever had but I really like sweet sage - you might try it and hate it - I guess that’s why we average.

Tap
Less thanimpressive aroma. Light golden, fine lacing head. Understated malt and fresh hops, delicately balanced, but a bit watery nonetheless. Light body.

Walks right down the middle for the style - a little malt, but not too much; a touch of dryness, but only a touch. Lacking in assertiveness, this would be okay as a quick pint after work, but not much else.
