At a tasting, thanks hermod, medium bubbly head, cloudy deepish orange color, stinky sulphurous aroma at first, then the rye comes to the fore, flavor of rye and smoke with some herbal notes, quite fizzy. Drinkable but not too exciting.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks tomer. Hazy deep gold with a big frothy white head. Aroma of rye spiciness, malt, some fruitiness and some metal/minerals. Sweetish flavor with rye, minerals, a fruity note, light phenolic smokiness and drier finish with a bitterish note. Medium-bodied.

Bottle: Deep golden, hazy, stable of-white head, slightly sweetish fruity 8maybe dried fruits9 and grainy nose with a caramelly-toasty touch; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, quite light bodied and a bit tart; lingering bitter-grainy finish with some hoppy edges. surprise! A pleasant speciality grain, far better than expected...

Body is rather thin. Finish is some sourness and dry bitter with metallic notes. Overall: not bad, but not good either.

Bottle at Bryggeri, Helsinki. Poured a hazy medium amber with a round white head. The aroma is floral, resin hop. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with a mineral grainy hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. An unusual beer and quite drinkable. Serve cool.

(bottle, 4.5% abv) Hazy, golden to amber colour with a medium-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Mildly sweet and yeasty malty aroma with notes of spelt and caramel with subtle fruity notes of pears and a whiff of apricots. Mildly sweet and delicately bitter flavour, quite slim bodied with a smooth carbonation. Caramelly malt character with a mildly touch of spelt, again subtle fruity notes; slim and slightly bitter hoppy finish with herbal and shy resiny accents. Liked it, although it is too slim. 12.VI.14
