A bigger and bolder version of Öö brewed for its 10th anniversary, aged in cognac barrels.

Taste: A velvety concoction of toasted malts, chocolate ganache and luscious vanilla slowly melt away, until delicate notes of blackberries and heather tips emerge. The finish reveals an elegant cask presentation with notes of warming cognac, dark dried fruits and refined tannins.

Appearance: As pitch black as the night sky, with a dense chestnut head.

Nose: The rich aroma of chocolate and cracked walnuts jump out of the bottle, quickly followed by a gentle touch of vanilla.

Malts: Pilsner zero, Munich, Carafa special T-2, Chocolate dark, Caramel 300, Special B, dark sugar, raisins

Hops: Columbus, Northern Brewer

Draught @ MBCC 2023, Copenhagen. Red Session. Pours black with a small creamy beige head. Heavy wood, cognac, soy and roast. Wet wood. Tobacco. Warming alcohol. A lot of thing happening and tasty but perhaps not too elegant.

On tap at MBCC 2023, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out intense cognac barrels, booze, and a touch of sugars. Flavour is extremely boozy, with intense cognac barrels, sugars and molasses. A bit brutal but it's well-made.

MBCC 2023. Ink pour with brownish foam. Nose of dried fruit, raisins, feels as a quadruple perhaps as the result of the barrel. Mouth: the sweet is quite well balanced, I spot a mild peppery in the mouthfeel.

Draft at MBCC 2023, Red session. Poured almost black in colour with a lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty malts, coffee, red berry fruits. The flavour is moderate sweet and liqourice bitter, with a smooth, rich, roasty, chocolate, coffee, red berry fruit, liqourice bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation. Nicely balanced.
