From a 330ml bottle on 26/6/2025. Pours a deep brown with the barest of heads. The nose features stewed plums, with some vinous notes. On the sip, it's punchy, sweet and sharp - plums again dominating with some, dates raisins and a touch of caramel. It's on the dessertish side, but there's a tart light sour giving it great balance. You get the barrel aged, boozy side of it, but it's not super pronounced. Has an oily, slick mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. A substantial, lovely, fruity fireside sipper.

Small tan rim over deep dark-brown beer. -1 point for the #*#§!!%%! wax. Deep rum/whisky nose with wine-drenched wood and indeed plums (though blind I would have guessed blue plums rather than mirabelles). Sweet-sourish. Alcoholic-fruity; raisins, plums, prunes, stonefruit, vinous. Marvellous balance between all the flavours, blending in. Rich alcoholic, warm feel, undercarbonated, voluptuous. Despite the alcohol, one would keep sipping this. Definitely one of Põhjala's outstanding ones.

Poured from the tap @ MBCC 2023 blue session (finally adding my notes). Dark brown with small beige head. Plummy, mild booze, dried fruit, decent.

Bottle that I picked up a long while ago but have completely forgotten where from... maybe, Beyond Beer webshop, Hamburg (I think?) Enjoying this in a carpark/camping area sat in Frank, St. Oswald-Riedlhütte Friday 9th August 2024 listening to Humanist - On the Edge of a Lost and Lonely World after a 17km loop hike and Pesto Lasagna for tea. Loz says this is dirty brown, I thought that I could see a lot of red in it when pouring. Super tangy but sweetness, it's tart with big plummy touches, the barrel ageing is not at all pushy, this is lovely.
