Poured from the tap @ MBCC 2023 blue session (finally adding my notes). Near black with small beige head. Dried fruit, caramel, gentle bourbon.

pours dark brown, with a light brown head. aroma is bourbon, sweet roasted malts, booze, syrup. not the best imp stout aroma but of course much better, more solid, than industrial versions. seems a bit simple and the syruppy note is too prominent. Flavor is bourbon, roasted malts, sweetness resembling honey or syrup or perhaps brown sugar or all of them, alc% hits and gets it a bit off-balance, bordering a faint nailpolish like note. Not the best imp stout flavor, not bad, but not among the best. I opened a 75cl bottle, it's 11:16 on a wednesday - this bottle will last all day and into tomorrow I think. bbf 24 dec 2026

Draught@TCBW2023. Pitch black colour with a mediumsized brown head. Aroma is vanilla, some roasted and toffeeish tones with mild liquorice too. Flavour is liquorice, toffee, some vanilla, mild toasted tones with a wee bit of alcohol sweetness as well.

Sample @TCBW 2023 Opaque colour, brown head. Sweet vanilla, toffee in the aroma. Full-bodied. Sweet, toffee, vanilla in the flavour. Simple.

Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2023 (MBCC Day 1) - Sweet dark chocolate with notes of caramel and fudge, full bodied, some vanilla and coconut coalesce into the dark malty finish. Nice one.

A small taste on tap @ TCBW 2023. Pours very dark brown with a low head. Aroma is sweet roasted malts with vanilla. Flavor is sweet roasted malts, vanilla, caramel, oak, hops. Very good.
