A black beer, a head is very small and brown. Aroma has liquorice, sweet dried fruits, some notes of alcohol, hint of barrel. Taste has liquorice, barrel, some dried fruits of prune, lots of sweetness. Full bodied. A way too sweet.

Draught@TCBW2023. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroam is tffee, liquorice, vanilla, maple syrup, some wood and mild port sweetness. Flavour is chocolaty, some maple syrup, alcohol, mild wooden, vanillaish and some liquorice tones too. Think, and quite a nice sipper.

Tap @MBCC2023, Yellow Session. Black, brown head. Choc, caranmel and roast aroma. Sweet flavour, heavy dark malty, light alc buzz, maple and port sweetness. Sooth and very well balanced.

Overfilled bottle that oozed sticky stuff through the wax. Pours black, brown firm head. Smells heavy maple, some port. Nice thickness, very sticky, bit boozy. Taste is pretty sweet, definitely port, chocolate. Clear maple, very subtle vanilla.

Draft @ Bishops Arms Gustav, Malmö. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty woody maple vanilla aroma. Roasted sweetish malty woody maple vanilla flavor. Has a sweetish malty woody maple vanilla finish.

Bottle shared in Canary Wharf - picked up in Sofia. Pours black-brown with a small, creamy tan head. Medium to big sweet flavour, some raisins, dates, port, berries, little booze, toasted marshmallows. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming, sticky and sweet finish. Tasty one in small doses.

Bottle shared at the Columbus tasting 22/06/2023. Thanks to LKS. A sticky thick, jet black brown coloured pour with a fading dark tan head. Aroma is spicy cinnamon cedar, brown sugars, hot alcohol, . Flavour is composed of fizzy cinnamon bun, toasted, brown sugars, maple, medium sweet and sticky brown sugars. Palate is weird, thick and fizzy, odd.

6th Floor bottleshare with the usual suspects. Thanks to LKS. Leaking wax that is a job to remove. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Very soft airy palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Soft but rich dark chocolate. Modest maple, not overdone. The Port barrelling is unfortunately quite light, just a touch of berries and dried fruits on the back end. Quite a soft but spicy finish. Nice brew, close to great.
