Balcones Whiskey Barrel Montmorency vs. Balaton is our 2021 batch of "MvB" aged in whisky barrels from @balconeswaco for 15 months. The alcohol by volume pickup from the barrels was quite substantial, as the final blend tested at 9.7%. We hope you enjoy this blend of farmhouse fruit re-fermentation and decadent whisky barrel character.

Pours a ubit unclear, redamber, no head. Scent is complex, wood, mild yet recognizable whisky ( bourbon like, sweeter style) cherry remains very clear as well. Making a very interesting and lovely blend. Taste is full, bourbon over cherry, woody, very low acidity. Damn, this works way better than expected. Super easy drinkable at the robust 9% ABV. A great one !
